little bentley waterways & garden show 2004
crowe garden design exhibited a show garden for the first time at the Little Bentley waterways & garden show in June 2004.
The theme set by the organisers was either a Town or Country garden.
Taking the town garden for the brief, crowe garden design abstracted the design based on the famous Nicholson Wall installed at Sutton Place, a landscape designed by Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe.
The resultant show garden was a courtyard garden on multi-levels with bold planting. It could sit quite happily within a town or country garden.
The garden concept worked well as an independent space set amongst the larger landscape or garden, almost as an art statement itself.
Commended on the design and the exhibit the show garden created a stir at the show.
