little bentley waterways & garden show 2007
Returning to exhibit a show garden at Little Bentley Hall in June 2007 resulted in a gold award for crowe garden design. The theme of the garden was set by the show organisers as being 'A Room with a View'.
Taking the book by E.M. Forster as the most obvious source for inspiration the garden represented a quiet oasis in the corner of a larger garden. A place to retreat to for relaxation and quiet reflection. A quite courtyard in a larger garden.
Cool planting minimalist in style, with heady scent hinting at warmer climates, simple in style and simple in exceution.
It had to be as this show was held the week after completion of the RHS Chelsea flower show.
The judges commented on the quality of the plants used within the planting design which included box and lavender. The award winning garden design was enjoyed by record attendance at the show.
