It's big, it's bold, it's got balls....

It's big, it's very big, is it too big? On a normal day, no it's just right, bold and making no apology for what it is, on a day of doubt, it's big, excrutiatingly big and creating concern.
The thing is though it has to be big, it has to stand out, it has to create a statement, that is the purpose. The strength and solidity of this will be crucial to the concept of building on support, of the power of life, the security of being in a community with the relationships that this brings. It has to be big.
The others are not so big, but they have been bulking themselves up, this means there will be a lot of structure. They have to relate to each other, the way that we relate to each other.
Is this all getting too deep and arty, has this crossed a line between the real world and the world of the pretentious over analytical rubbish? It will generate some comment which is good, garden design should have a concept behind it however polarising.
Conceptual garden design need not just be about the sub-conscious it can be about the fact that one likes a nice colour theme because it reminds one of granny's curtains. It can be about the spatial relationships of man and the universe. But should it be big?
Tomorrow it might be too small, that would be a new worry. But what about the balls, are they too big?
