Two show gardens for July...
Sunday 19th April 2009
crowe garden design is delighted to announce the exhibition of two show gardens this July in Norfolk. The gardens are being staged in support of The Norfolk Hospice and will be reinstated at a permanent location later this year.
The Norfolk Hospice is celebrating its 25th anniversary this coming year.
Norfolk has a shortage of hospice facilities and plans are underway for expansion, the show gardens will celebrate this, lifting the profile and ambition for the charity.
Working in close partnership with the West Norfolk & Kings Lynn borough council, Queen Elizabeth hospital Kings Lynn and other parties the show gardens will be created by award winning garden designer Adrian Crowe.
At the
Sandringham flower show in 2008 crowe garden design was awarded Gold and has accepted the invitation to return. This year the ambition is extended by accepting an invitation to exhibit at the
Stradsett Hall Garden show a few weeks earlier.
The
Sandringham flower show has been staged for 127 years and the Sandringham Estate Cottage Horticultural Society Trust is an affliated society with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
The
Stradsett Hall Garden show is in its first year. Both shows are run in aid of and for the benefit of local charities with in excess of 20,000 visitors expected for each show.
It is planned that after the shows the gardens will be placed within an internal courtyard space at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn and maintained by hospital volunteers.
The initiative to reinstate show gardens after shows is led by the West Norfolk & Kings Lynn borough council.
Over the coming weeks there will be regular updates of news, a blog and the new phenomenon of twitter from crowe garden design.
