Good news for gardeners …
Sunday 8th February 2009
The recent cold weather with prolonged coverings of snow and ice,
combined with persistent low temperatures is a welcome boost to all
those with a garden. Recent milder winters have seen pests and diseases
manage to survive winters because they have been unaffected by seasonal
temperatures falling. This year aphids, white fly slugs and others will
be killed off in larger numbers, great news for the new army of
enthusiasts toiling and tilling in their new vegetable garden and
kitchen gardens. Cold temperatures have also held back the spring
blooms that have started earlier and earlier in recent years. Expect
spring to be a bumper time for displays of colour and blossom. There
has never been a better time for the garden to receive some planning
and advice to prepare for the finer weather ahead, crowe garden design
in Essex is a garden design practice that welcomes enquiries from
clients needing to freshen up their gardens with new planting plans or
planting design.
