Suffolk Garden Conference

The second conference themed around the garden was held recently at
Trinity Park, Ipswich, Suffolk. Under the title of “The Well Seasoned
Garden – Contemporary but well rooted” the day consisted of speakers
from the world of garden design, planting, garden history and garden
restoration. Chaired by Suffolk Agricultural Association
President-elect Lady Xa Tollemache the day included enlightening
lectures by; Noel Kingsbury, renowned plantsman and garden designer,
Alan Gray, garden maker at East Ruston, Tom Petherick involved with the
rediscovery of the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Caroline Holmes, garden
historian and author. The audience of garden designers, garden owners
and plants people enjoyed a thoroughly informative and entertaining set
of presentations.
